Construction Craft Laborer Program
Are you a DIY-er by nature? Do you love to work outside? Does the idea of doing different work every day appeal to you? Do you learn new skills quickly and have a great attention to detail? Do you like and can you perform work that requires lifting and heavy loads? Then we have a course for you!!
The Construction Craft Laborer Program is an introductory course consisting of 159 hours of core construction training designed to introduce students to the foundation of the construction industry and act as a gateway to the more complex trade-specific courses. The course teaches a range of topics to prepare workers for different fields in the construction industry, including: Basic Safety (Construction Site Safety Orientation); Introduction Construction Math; Introduction to Hand Tools; Introduction to Power Tools; Introduction to Construction Drawings; Introduction to Basic Rigging; Basic Communication Skills; Basic Employability Skills; Introduction to Materials Handling; Orientation to the Trade; Building Materials, Fasteners & Adhesives; Properties of Concrete; Site Layout One: Differential Leveling; Handling and Placing Concrete; Foundations and Slabs-On-Grade.
In addition to this core curriculum, students will receive the following training:
Hot Work Safety Certification
OSHA-10 Hour for Construction Certification
159 Apprentice School Hours

What is a Construction Craft Laborer?
– Construction Craft Laborers are the jack-of-all-trades who work on almost all jobsites.
– They perform an array of tasks varying from simple to extremely difficult and hazardous.
– Laborers responsibilities include environmental remediation, mixing, handling and placing concrete materials, preparing and maintaining construction sites to eliminate possible hazards, and setting up traffic diversions or warning signs to ensure the safety of vehicles and their owners.
